The Most Scenic Ride So Far!

The Line Up!

The Line Up!

On Sunday the 25th of August, A glimpse of Spring riding weather was enjoyed by all on our triple head cruise. The 42 riders that braved the early morning meet up had the pleasure of experiencing Sydney Harbour at its finest. By no means was this the longest, largest or fastest ride we have organised, it was by far one of the most scenic. Contending with some traffic and three national parks worth of speed humps, it’s understandable that most of our lower clearance riders did not want to risk losing their sump plugs on this journey, but those who took on the challenge, the rewards at the end destination made it all worthwhile. From our starting point at Mrs Macquarie chair, the team, collective filtered seamlessly amongst the busloads of tourists and gathered for our annual obligatory tourist photo in front of the iconic harbour features. As the sound of 40+ scooters and motorbikes starting brought this location alive we all headed north, with a slight twist in our ride route we entered the Cahill Expressway in front of the Art Gallery of NSW with heads turning everywhere.

After crossing the Harbour Bridge we headed directly to Bradley’s head, riding along the ridge of the heavily forested peninsular, with glimpses of the harbour’s water on both sides of the road right down to the top of the amphitheatre, you could easily be mistaken for riding on a small coastal town road.

As we looped around the Taronga Zoo Wharf past the waiting crowds lining up to enter the Zoo, we were greeted with waves, cheers and some were even filming the parade of mismatched rides and riders.

Out of one Harbour Park to the next, we made our way past the heavily fortified HMAS Penguin, along the middle head bunkers to Chowder Bay, with glimpses of our destination across the glistening waters of Sydney Harbour. Making our way along Balmoral beach and the Bather’s Pavilion we tackled the steepest street on the lower North Shore, that took us up to the beginning of The Spit. To the credit of all our corner markers and our tail gunner Sean on his Honda Monkey, we managed to keep the team in one pack.

Through Manly’s busy harbour beach, our climb began to the rocky outcrop that is North Head.

This is where our ride took a turn, after parking up, we all walked to the lookout, standing 90 meters above the waters and the entrance to Sydney’s harbour we drew our raffle.

Thank you to all the riders and various rides that attended, from our own Hunter Scooter in stock & custom format, a large and entertaining number of Honda Groms and Monkeys, in all colours and a myriad of highly customised rides which inspire us and love sharing these rides with.

Our goal with these events is to be all inclusive and to build a community who embraces the unique and different world of small fast things that roar!

Turn some heads, stand out from the pack and make onlookers smile, enrich your own life while connecting with the stunning city we are lucky enough to call home. All you need is a passion for small two wheeled beasts that bring you thrills.
